David Krumholtz

You may know David Krumholtz from the teen movie 10 Things I Hate about You or the Christmas film The Santa Clause. You may not have known that he played Neal’s brother on Freaks and Geeks as Barry Schweiber. He drops into town from college to visit his family for a dinner party. He also courts Lindsay Weir, despite the fact Neal has a crush on her.

Krumholtz has starred in many roles. However, he tends to work with Judd Apatow, the producer of Freaks and Geeks, a lot. Such productions include Undeclared and This Is the End, which comes out this June. All three of these productions have two other common factors: Seth Rogen and Jason Segel. Rogen and Segel both star in Freaks and Geeks. Rogen stars in Undeclared, and Segal and Krumholtz guest star. In This Is the End, all three of these characters play themselves in an apocalyptic comedy. The film stars James Franco, who also stars in Freaks and Geeks. The stars of this show are basically a tangled web.

David Krumholtz Has had a very versatile career. He’s worked in Broadway, television, and movies. However, one of my favorite roles of his will be Barry Schweiber. I hope David Krumholtz has a long career. (I also recommend 10 Things I Hate About You to anyone and everyone.)

Leslie Mann

How do you make your wife happy? You cast her in your show. That’s what Judd Apatow did in one episode of Freaks and Geeks. Leslie Mann plays Ms. Foote, Bill’s teacher who he tells all of his allergies to. It’s a pretty weird story line out of context, but nevertheless Leslie Mann was in it and it was important to the show.

Leslie Mann started acting when she was 18 in commercials.  Mann has been in a lot of Apatow productions: Knocked Up, Funny People, and most recently, This is 40. These three included her two daughters: Iris and Maude.

She doesn’t just work with her family though. Her other roles include I Love You Phillip Morris, The Change-Up and 17 Again. Mann was nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy by the Broadcast Film Critics Association.

This year Mann will appear in Sophia Coppala’s The Bling Ring, which stars Emma Watson. The film is based on true events and follows a group of teenagers who steal from celebrities. Mann plays a mother of one of the teenagers.

Herbert

Shia LaBeouf is known by many as a child star on the Disney show Even Stevens, but he had another role during that time on Freaks and Geeks. LaBeouf played Herbert, an injured mascot that needed a replacement. Herbert broke his arm while performing during lunch and Sam takes over as the mascot. Herbert tries to give tips to being the mascot and is really intense about being a mascot, but Neil thinks that he is an awful mascot and unfunny.

With his role is Freaks and Geeks, LaBeouf worked on many other projects in his childhood. He started stand-up comedy routines when he was just ten years old. He starred on Even Stevens for three years which earned him a Daytime Emmy Award and performed in The Even Stevens Movie. He also had a starring role in the movie Holes.

Since Freaks and Geeks Shia LaBeouf has risen out of childhood actor to movie star. His big career debut was in Disturbia, a suspense thriller. His biggest role has been as Sam Witwicky is the Transformers series. He starred in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull with mixed reviews. He even admits that his work on the film was not up to par.

Shia Labeouf has risen from the ashes of childhood star, which is admirable, whether or not his roles are horrendous.
